Good Afternoon. My name is “i am not, but i know I AM.”, or that’s how I’d like it written on my name tag. If the name of our Lord is “I AM” (Exodus 3:14), then my name is most defiantly ‘i am not’. I am not the ruler of all things, I am not the king of kings, i am not the savior. I am not going to meet your expectations, and I am not going to live up to any standard you can come up with. But, the exciting part is, is that I know I AM.
Since I am only a small part of a humongous already unfolding story, i am being prepared by I AM to play my small little part that has already begun. Our Lord Jesus Christ has placed me here at UCF for a reason. I was known before I was born in the college town of Norman, Oklahoma. He was with me when I was moved to the small beach town of Venice, Florida. I thought I knew who he was, I thought I knew him, and more importantly, I thought he knew me. But his loving grace swept over me and I realized that he didn’t know me, I was but a stranger he loved dearly. I came to trust in him on May 15th 2008, which is a more important day to me than the day I was born. I couldn’t imagine living yet another day without him.
I believe that I am studying Digital Media to further the name of Jesus Christ to every corner of the earth. I have a God-given talent for web-design, and I want to develop that into a skill that will further the Kingdom of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. It is a skill that is needed around the world, and I want to do the best I possibly can. God has provided me everything I have needed to go to school at UCF. Acceptance, Finances, a place to live, everything. I know this is where God wants me, and I know this is what he wants me to be doing. I thank God for all he has done and all he continues to do.
Please, do not look toward me for excellence, do not look toward me for perfection please don’t even look at me for anything good. Please, I beg you, look at HIM! He is the King of Kings the Prince of Peace, the Lamb who was Slain! Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God almighty!
